Located at 924 Scranton Carbondale Hwy, Scranton, PA 18508, Tommy's Express® Car Wash operates as a car wash serving Scranton in Pennsylvania. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as car detailing service, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

In Scranton, washes are busiest on sunny weekends and the first dry day after rain or a snowstorm, when lines back onto the street; weekday mornings are the quietest. Across Pennsylvania, expect a basic exterior wash to cost about what a fast-food meal does, with wax, tire shine and undercarriage rinse sold as tiers above it. Self-service bays are the cheapest way to clean a truck bed, a muddy off-roader or a vehicle that will not fit a tunnel, and many run around the clock. Check the listing for the wash type, hours, free vacuums, unlimited plans and whether the site accepts cards or app payments, then call ahead in freezing weather, when tunnels close.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7 am–8 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Tommy's Express® Car Wash at (570) 215-5923; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, tommys-express.com.

Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 218 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded car washes in Scranton.

Scranton is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Scranton follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

One of the nicest car washes I’ve ever been too! I’ve been to a lot of car washes and used a lot of car wash vacuums, paid and free and these free vacs have the strongest suction I’ve used! Incredible! Wash did an amazing job and I just got a lower mid tier wash can’t even imagine what the top tier wash would do! My car looks better than it has in a while! Shame I don’t live in area because I’d be a regular here!

I worked 2 jobs over the winter that were 11-14 hour shifts so a washed car wasn’t high on my priority list BUT when I got 2 of the free coupons I was super excited! After the first was I was is shock! The car hadn’t looked that good since I bought it! After the second wash a few month later towards winters end I just assumed it was just as good and went on my way. Unfortunately it took a while for me to notice the scratches. I did call, figuring it would have been to long to prove it was there that it happened I asked questions about if they keep track of the plates and told them my dilemma. She suggested I could have done it while wiping the car. I tried to explain the scratches were to deep and on the swiping and circling motions of there wash. She said they haven’t had any other complaints and they would have had a line of cars reporting if there was a problem. It’s my own fault for not paying enough attention but this is the ONLY car wash I’ve ever been to like that. I think the pictures speak for them themselves so just beware…

Hands down the best car wash I've ever been to! The staff was super friendly and got my ride looking brand new. The attention to detail was top-notch, and the quality of the wash was 5-star all the way. Highly recommend taking your whip here - you won't regret it.

Im not overly impressed and would have definitely rated a 5 if the vacuums had more suction. They are at best an equivalent of a dollar store vacuum powered by batteries. It does grab reciepts for you though! I expected a bit more power to them, yes, they are free. I get the draw of free but why do I have to push a button to use the free vacuums if I go past a few minutes. Theres no clean rags, window spray, air compressor to get your vents and one size vacuum. My car IS cleaner but not by much. Attendant was very friendly, waved bye and seemed cheerful. I did the membership by the app and didnt have to interact with anyone really. Its not bad, by any means, just I prefer LUV.

Byron was amazing. He walked me through every step of watching my car, which you would think sounds very intuitive but with this Carwash one of the highest end I've ever seen by far. he walked me through how to wash my mats (first time ever seeing a mat washing machine) use the vacuums and told me what was included in my works Carwash monthly membership that I bought from him 10/10
